The Belles of Three Spires are Coventry’s all-female acapella and barbershop group. Having been formed in 1989, the Belles of Three Spires performed at their first convention in 1995 in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. Their members are aged between 20-70 and they have, at the present time, a total of 53 members. Their Musical Director is Lucy Guess and she has held the position since 2012.The Belles of Three Spires have previously won awards for “Most Improved Chorus” and “Most Improved Director” at LABBS (Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers) in 2013 and 2017. As well as this, in 2017 they were ranked 9th in the UK at the 2017 LABBS Convention being held in Bournemouth. Most recently, in 2019, they celebrated their 30th anniversary
They welcome singers of any experience level and new members do not need any previous experience or the ability to read music. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, rehearsals were temporarily cancelled but are usually held on Wednesdays at 7pm at: Willenhall Social Club, Robin Hood Road, Coventry, CV3 3BB.
