Alternative Provisions
placements for young people
Radio Plus are now offering unregistered Alternative Provision placements for young people aged between 11-24 who live in Coventry and Warwickshire.
All our placements take place within a live radio station environment. We offer a wide range of enriching and engaging experiences. These include:
Gaining work experience in a real life radio station
Training and digital skills development in radio broadcasting
Learn studio production and work on live radio programmes
Music workshops – introduction to music and instruments
Songwriting and performance
Recording music in our studios
Gain work experience in digital and social media production
Help create digital content for the Radio Plus website
Create a portfolio of work highlighting a wider range of digitals

Referral Criteria : Students aged 11-24 years, who are at risk of permanent exclusion, permanently excluded and EHCP students.
Initial Assessment procedure : All students are individually assessed and baselined for Functional Maths and English Skills upon starting their placement. Individual Placement Plan tailored to each students needs.
Progress Tracking : Termly data harvesting and reports to the LA. Reporting : Attendance recorded and reported to the LA. Organisational Structure : Student to Staff Ratio 1-1, 4-1
