Radio Plus Sports Coverage

Radio Plus Coventry is proud to present live coverage of Coventry United Ladies Football Club starting from Sunday 29th August. Paul Wheeler will be live for home and away matches throughout the season, featuring the Red and Greens.

Coventry United Ladies Football Club were founded in 1991 and were originally known as Coventry City Ladies Football Club. However, in July 2015, they decided to merge together with Coventry United to form Coventry United Ladies Football Club. They play home games at the Butts Park Arena and they are currently in their 3rd season playing in the FA Women’s Championship, the 2nd tier of Women’s Football in England after gaining promotion from the FA Women’s National League South at the end of the 2018/2019 season. As well as this, the 2021/22 season is the first team where the team has gone fully professional after being just semi-professional in the past and you can get caught up on the progress of the Red and Greens right here on Radio Plus. Every Saturday on the Saturday Sports Show during Women’s Football Hour, presenters Paul Wheeler and Matthew Broomfield give you all the latest news about Women’s Football, with particular emphasis on Coventry United Ladies.

Also, on the Saturday Sports Show, we get exclusive interviews with players who proudly wear the Red and Green shirt of Coventry United Ladies Football Club. Hear from manager Jay Bradford and Red and Greens’ stars such as captain Katie Wilkinson, Anna Wilcox, Liv Fergusson and Naomi Hartley as they give their view on what they love the most about playing for the Red and Greens.
