Lee Burch

Lee Burch is the current manager of Coventry United Women FC who play in the FA Women’s Championship. Lee Burch has a wide plethera of experience managing at the top two levels of the women’s game including the WSL (Women’s Super League). Before coming to Coventry United, Lee has managed teams such as Millwall Lionesses, now known as London City Lionesses, and most recently, London Bees where he guided them to finish 5th in the 2019/20 FA Women’s Championship season. After leaving London Bees in February 2021, he has worked at the Hampshire Football Association, watching over and trying to think of ways to expand the development of women’s football.

Lee Burch has took over after previous head coach and former player Jay Bradford decided to leave the club after 3 years and most notably, guiding the Red and Greens to avoid relegation at the end of the 2021/22 season despite being given a 10 point deduction from the FA due to the club going into voluntary liquidation.

When interviewed by BBC Sport after his feelings about joining Coventry United, Lee Burch stated: “I am really pleased and excited to be joining Coventry United” and also when asked about his aims for this season, he said “I believe the foundations and structure are starting to be laid at the club to help it be a success. I believe I can be a part of that” and ” I’m looking forward to the challenge and being back in the Championship for another exciting season”.
