What is Your Story?
I studied journalism at college then looked for a job in that sector and Radio Plus was and still is a brilliant opportunity for me to produce and present shows. Working here has given me the confidence in my abilities. I have co-hosted the midmorning show and covered many shows. Now I host a specialist show The Rock Show. I am now studying Criminology, Policing and Investigation at BCU.
What genre of music do you love to listen to?
My music taste is varied From pop to rock to metal. My taste can be classed as loud music or even noise however you have to take time listening to the lyrics and or the beat and will see there’s a reason for this madness. My favourite band is Fit For Rivals as it was one of the first rock bands I listened to , it is also a brilliant band to listen to whatever mood you are in .
What do you enjoy most about working in Radio?
What I most enjoy about working in radio is having exclusive plays of songs. Being open to new music, finding new bands and tracks to play on the airwaves. The best thing about working in radio is supporting local and upcoming bands, hearing what they produce is an honour. Another thing about working in radio I love is it DOESN’T feel like work , it can be stressful at times but it makes me feel free.
What makes you proud to be a Coventrian?
I am proud to be a Coventrain because of the elephant (the old swimming baths) I used to go here with my granddad weekly. I am proud of the music talents such as Jen Ledger.
