BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend Coventry

As Coventry’s title of “UK City of Culture” nears its end, it is definitely going out with a bang, as the city hosts “BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend” at the War Memorial Park. BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend is an annually held music festival, run by BBC Radio 1. BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend started initially in May 2003, hosted in the city of Manchester and ever since then, it has took place in a wide variety of cities across the UK, from Dundee to Essex and from Cardiff to London. And now, for the first time ever, it is coming to Coventry.

On Monday 14th March 2022, the line-up was announced for the main stage on the Saturday and the artists that will feature include the likes of: Calvin Harris, Ed Sheeran, Anne Marie, Yungblud and many others.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 18th March 2022 and there is an exclusive opportunity for people from Coventry and the surrounding areas to access tickets. 60% of the tickets sold will be sold to people from Coventry, with a further 25% going to those from the surrounding areas, such as Kenilworth, Nuneaton, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Solihull and others.
