Lucy Thomas is a goalkeeper for Coventry United Ladies Football Club. She signed for the Red and Greens at the start of the 2021/22 season, on a 1 year contract from fellow FA Women’s Championship side, London City Lionesses.
Initially signed as a back-up goalkeeper to 1st choice goalkeeper and Wales International Olivia Clark, Lucy has been able to make her way into Jay Bradford’s starting 11 after Olivia Clark sadly sustained an injury in the Red and Green’s opening league fixture at home against Sunderland.
Since then, she has featured consistently for Coventry United, in both the league and cup, and she has rewarded the faith of her manager Jay Bradford by putting in outstanding performances on the pitch, including playing a vital role in the Red and Green’s 1-0 win at home against Durham Women and the thrashing of Watford Women in the 3rd Round of the Women’s FA Cup, keeping a crucial clean sheet in both games.
